Hello Vista Peak Families!
My name is Sam and I am the school nurse here at Vista Peak. I am so glad to be here with all of our wonderful students!
A little background information about me and my nursing career; I graduated nursing school with my BSN from Arizona State University. I then went on to work in an adult progressive care unit. My most recent experience is working with the pediatric population doing critical care and general pediatrics in the hospital setting. I have always had a passion for working with pediatrics and school nursing was the perfect next step for my career! I have two kids of my own that go to school in the district, so we are a DVUSD family! Becoming the school nurse here at Vista Peak has been so fulfilling to my life and career. I have truly grown to love and care for the students and staff here!
Our students' health is my main priority here at Vista Peak. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, where every student feels safe and cared for. If you ever have any concerns or questions about your child's health please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I can be reached at 623-445-3910 between the hours of 8:45 am and 4:15 PM Monday through Friday.
At Vista Peak we also have a medically fragile classroom and Karly is our classroom nurse. Karly takes care of the unique needs that our medically fragile class requires. We work together to ensure the special needs of this classroom are met and taken care of here at school.
I look forward to working with you for a successful and healthy year here at Vista Peak!
