Meet the School Nurses | Nurse Sam & Nurse Karly

Welcome to Vista Peak!

Hello Vista Peak Families!

Our names are Sam and Karly, and we are happy to serve as the school nursing team here at Vista Peak. We enjoy caring for the students and staff across our campus, and we are dedicated to keeping our school community healthy, safe, and supported.

Background & Expertise

• Nurse Sam: BSN Graduate from Arizona State University with a clinical background in adult progressive care, pediatric critical care, and general pediatrics. Proud DVUSD parent with two children attending school in the district.

• Nurse Karly: Specialized pediatric nursing background, providing dedicated care for our students with complex medical needs.

• Core Role: Student health assessments, daily care, emergency response, and specialized health plans for all students.

Student Health & Care

Our priority is creating a safe, welcoming environment where every student feels supported and cared for. While Nurse Sam manages overall campus health, Nurse Karly provides dedicated, specialized nursing care in our medically fragile classroom to ensure our students' specific medical needs are seamlessly met every day.
