Meet the Teacher!

Hello!

My name is Kim Christensen, and I have been teaching in Deer Valley since 2013.  I'm currently teaching at Vista Peak in our 6th Grade classroom for students with an Emotional Disability.  I received a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education and Elementary Education from Arizona State University, and I am highly qualified to teach middle school Mathematics.  I also hold a Master's Degree through ASU for Curriculum and Instruction in Gifted Education.  Teaching middle school is my passion, and I feel very fortunate to get to do what I love.
