Welcome to 5th Grade at Vista Peak!

Hello Vista Peak Families and Students!

My name is Jennifer Devoy, and I have been teaching at Vista Peak since January 2023. I bring many years of personal and professional experience supporting youth with special needs, and I am deeply committed to helping our 5th-grade students discover their potential, build confidence, and grow in a safe, supportive classroom.

Teaching Philosophy & Interests

• Favorite Subjects: Reading & Writing (I love watching students become thoughtful readers and creative writers!)

• Classroom Focus: Growth mindset—helping students learn that their brains are like muscles that grow stronger with every challenge.

• Beyond the Classroom: I love supporting students at their extracurricular activities! If your child has an event they'd like me to attend (with parent/guardian presence), please send me an invite.

• Personal: Outside of school, you can find me hiking, camping, and spending quality time with my family.
