Dr. Riley Steinmetz, OTD, OTR/L

Welcome to Vista Peak!

Hello Vista Peak Families and Students! My name is Dr. Riley Steinmetz, and I am proud to serve our school community as Vista Peak’s Occupational Therapist. I look forward to bringing my background and passion for pediatrics to our campus to help support our students as they learn, grow, and reach their highest potential!

Education & Degrees

• Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD): Creighton University

• Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (Minor in Chemistry): Northern Arizona University

Experience & Background

• Clinical Care: PRN Occupational Therapist at Phoenix Children's Hospital, serving on both the Inpatient Rehabilitation and Acute Care floors.

• Pediatric & Developmental Services: 10 years of experience providing direct care services to adults and children with developmental disabilities through the Civitan Foundation.

• Doctoral Capstone Research: Focused on identifying and navigating barriers to developmentally appropriate play across diverse pediatric populations in collaboration with Ryan House, Creighton University, and ILAC (Institute for Latin American Concern).
