Meet the Counselor | Dorothy Watkins, LCSW

Hello Vista Peak Families and Students!

My name is Dorothy Watkins, and I am thrilled to be serving as your Behavioral Health Counselor. This is my second year in the Deer Valley Unified School District, and I am passionate about working with students, families, and staff to support student learning—both academically and emotionally.

Background & Expertise

• Credential: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

• Experience: Over 30 years in the behavioral health field (including school-based, outpatient, and telehealth settings)

• Focus: Whole-child support, emotional well-being, and family-school collaboration

• Personal: Outside of school, I am an avid sports fan and love getting outdoors to hike!
